Obituary for Theresa Mary Ford

Passed away at James Paton Memorial Health Centre, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, after a brief illness, Theresa Mary Ford, of Hare Bay. She was born to Jeremiah and Eliza Parsons on December 25, 1921 at Dover. On August 23, 1938, she married the love of her life, Henry Ford and together they raised three children. She was predeceased by her husband; daughters Ferne Brown and Joyce Wells; son, Martin; granddaughter Debbie Rideout; brother, Albert Parsons; and sister, Nellie Ford.

Theresa was a long-time member of the Hare Bay Corps Home League and enjoyed attending church as long as her health permitted. She was a quiet, kind and caring lady who loved to welcome family and friends into her home and never found it to be “too much trouble” to put the kettle on.

Left to share loving memories are her daughter-in-law, Frances, with whom she resided; sons-in-law, Donald Brown and Murray Wells; grandchildren: Judy Stagg, Donald Brown, Jr., Shelley Boyde, Paula Sturge, Wilburn Brown, Gaye Philpott, Robin Peckford, Jackie Wells-Collins, and Jodine Wells-Kirby; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at Oram's Funeral Home in Dover with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00- 9:00pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, August 11th at 2:00pm at the Salvation Army Church in Hare Bay.
