Passed away peacefully at James Paton Memorial Health Centre, on Sunday, September 10, 2017, Samuel Lindburgh Feltham, of Glovertown. Born March 3, 1928 at Deer Island, Bonavista Bay, the son of Llewellyn and Druscina Feltham. Samuel married Bernice (Sweetapple) on February 12, 1957 and together they raised four boys. He was predeceased by his wife; parents; son Danny; brothers: Stanly, Lorenzo, Elijah; and sisters: Hilda, Elvie, Mabel, Flossie, Ida and Irene.
Samuel was a carpenter and had a passion for boatbuilding, spending countless hours out in his workshop. He was a selfless, thoughtful and giving father and was well-respected in the community. He was always there if someone needed a piece of wood ripped, a saw sharpened, or a spindle turned and a chair repaired. He told endless stories of his days on Deer Island and was well-known for his wit and wisdom. Samuel will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Leaving to mourn sons Brian (Dianne), Paul (Juanita), Jerry (Janet), daughter-in-law Joan, grandsons John, Ryan, Brandon, Robyn and Benjamin, granddaughters Leah, Laura, and Ashley, and great-grandchildren Lucy, Emily, Lavinia, Oakley and Jane.
