Passed peacefully away on December 28, 2017, at the Brookfield Hospital, Gordon Rogers of Hare Bay, (predeceased by wife Violet). Leaving to mourn with loving memories and broken hearts his children, Ivy(Trevor, predeceased), Gloria(Dannie), Jane(Laurin), Junior, Stephen(Muriel,predeceased), Joyce(Sid), & Rose(Bill) Grandchildren, Jimmy(Amanda), Crystal, Duane(Renee), Tanya(Mike), Carolyn, Jodi(Jonathon) & Allan(Amanda) Great-Grandchildren, Ashley, Alexander, Grace, Isaac & Mariah. Sister, Josie as well as a large number of nieces & nephews.
Gordon will be fondly remembered by his friends and family. Gordon was born on Silver Fox Island on May 12, 1924, where he met and married the love of his life Violet Matthews. He was a skilled carpenter and boat builder and loved to entertain us with his many life adventures. Gordon was a shining example of what a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend should be. He was always there with a helping hand, offering help, support, encouragement, guidance & an abundance of love to all of us. He will be forever remembered & missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is resting at Oram's Funeral Home in Dover. Visitation will be on Friday, December 29,2017 from 11:00am to 4:30pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Anglican Church - Hare Bay. Interment will be at the St. Augustine's Anglican Cemetery, Dover
