Joan Garrett (Best), passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander on August 21st, 2018 at the age of 82.
Predeceased by her husband Mark and children Barbara, Dion and Alena. Survived by her daughters Caroline (Lorne) and Kitty. Son's Levi, Wallace, Shawn and Neal (Tira). Eighteen Grandchildren, Twenty great Grandchildren and one great great Grandchild.
Joan was born on November 11th, 1935 in Port Blandford, NL to Charlie and Kitty Best. She married Mark Garrett on December 19th, 1952 and proudly raised 9 children in Traytown, NL.
Visitation will be held at Oram's Funeral home, Glovertown on Thursday, August 23rd from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral will be held at the United Church on Friday, August 24th with reception to follow. Rev. Vardy will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joan's life.
